WINTER SKI POSITIONS
Companies will offer you return travel to and from the UK, full board
and accommodation, lift pass, medical insurance, ski boots and skis (usually
not snowboard equipment). Companies will either hold back part of your
wages or you are required to pay for your lift pass, this money will then
be refunded ONLY AFTER SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETING THE SEASON. You are required
to work 6 days per week maybe 10 hours per day but all positions allow
for time on the mountain in the afternoons. All personnel must be flexible,
hard working with great stamina and personalities.

COOKING POSITIONS
Chalet Chef a la carte – Working in a domestic
chalet you must have a catering qualification/and or have relevant experience
in running a kitchen commercially or in a private residence. Will be responsible
for menu planning, shopping and budgeting, breakfast, afternoon tea, canapés,
3/4 course evening meal. May also be responsible for the cleaning and
hosting in the chalet.
Chalet Chef – Working in a domestic chalet you
must have completed a recognised cookery course of at least 3 months and
or have relevant experience in running a kitchen commercially or in a
private residence. Will be responsible for menu planning, shopping and
budgeting, breakfast, afternoon tea, canapés, 3/4 course evening
meal. May also be responsible for the cleaning and hosting in the chalet.
Chalet Host – Singles and Couples - Must
have cooking experience either commercially or at home, able to cater
for guests with superb home cooked food. You will be responsible for the
chalet including; menu planning, shopping, budgeting, cleaning, hosting
and cooking breakfast, afternoon tea and 3 course evening meal. Outgoing
and friendly personality.
Hotel Chef – Working in a commercial kitchen up
to 50 covers. Qualified chef with relevant experience. Manage kitchen
staff, menu planning, budget control, ordering, and hygiene controls.
Sous Chef - Working in a commercial kitchen up to 50
covers. Have previous experience and able to cover head chef on
day off.
OTHER CHALET STAFF
Chalet Manager – Must have managerial experience
or worked a season. You are responsible for the smooth running of
the chalet, accounts, staff and guests.
Chalet helper - Must be flexible helping the chalet host
or chef, responsible for all the housekeeping, cleaning, veg prepping
and looking after the guests. Candidates who can cook are preferred as
injury will occur during the season and you will have to step into a chalet
host role.
Driver/maintenance - Ideally over 24 years old (due to company
insurance) and must have held a licence for over 3 years. Experience
in minibus driving and snow conditions. Outgoing personality, flexible,
may also be required to help in the chalets, transfers, and general chalet
maintenance.
Nanny/au pair - Childcare experience essential, able
to look after and entertain both babies and children, qualification preferred
but not essential. Most positions require a driving licence.
For skiing nannies you also have to be a confident parallel skier.
HOTEL POSITIONS
Hotel Chef – Working in a commercial kitchen, breakfast,
lunch and evening meal, all set menus up to 100 guests. Must be
qualified or experienced cooking for numbers to a good standard.
House Keeper – Working mainly in the daytime, making
beds and cleaning rooms
Waiter/ess – Working in French hotels on a French
contact, must have good experience, some positions require silver service,
good to fluent French skills
Kitchen Porter – Able to work under pressure in
a busy kitchen washing up and loading/unloading the dishwasher
OTHERS
Resort Manager – Fluent in French, able to manage
a team of staff, delegate, accounts, problem solving. Deal with
local suppliers, tradesman, and chalet owners. Driving licence required
Bar Staff – Experience in bar work, good French
speaking skills, able to work in a busy bar, bars are open until 2 am
.
Ski Instructor – Must be qualified to French standards
with at least BASI 2, French test technique and be fluent in French
